Hedgehogs in Need Foundation (HNF)
A non-profit dedicated to ensuring miniature hedgehogs survive winter with warmth, dignity, and moderately fashionable knitwear. Operated by volunteers, knitters with spare time, and at least one person who said, “How hard can hedgehog clothes be?”
It should be noted that last year’s funding round did not fully anticipate the requirement for hedgehog spines to successfully penetrate the jumpers in a manner consistent with both comfort and physics. This oversight has since been addressed through revised designs featuring spine-accommodating stitch density and improved yarn selection.
Donors may rest assured that all jumper testing was conducted in a controlled environment, under close supervision, with appropriate safety measures in place. No hedgehogs were surprised, compressed, or emotionally inconvenienced during testing, and all participants were released promptly with their dignity intact.
This funding request seeks $1,000 USD to design, knit, and distribute bespoke winter jumpers for at-risk miniature hedgehogs. Funds will be used for yarn procurement, needle replacement, pattern experimentation, and morale-sustaining hot beverages for knitters.
